Article by Gunnar Thor Johannesson, Unni Dis Skaptadóttur and Karl Benediktsson published in the journal Sociologist Ruralis in 2003. Discussed is the adaptive skills of the marginal communities in the face of modernization. The focus is on terms concerning ways resort and their usefulness in gaining a better understanding of cultural and eco tourism in border communities in northern regions.
